"Bastet (or Bast) is an Ancient Egyptian Goddess who is portrayed as either a desert cat or a woman with a cat's head. She has been associated with both the sun and the moon, music, carousing, and of course, cats. She is a daughter of Ra, she has a temper, and she likes sistrums, good handcrafted beer, and long walks on the beach."
